As a visual artist, my work is constantly developing to better relate and communicate with my audience. I engage in experimentation, using various media and style to create art inspired by popular culture, current events, and the diversity of people and things around us.
After 15 years of creating art behind closed doors, I want to inspire other creatives to take risks with their art and put themselves out there. Taking the initial risk is the most difficult step, but it uncovers a world of opportunities. To every creator that isn’t quite sure, or feels they’re not quite ready, I’d like you to know that you are.
The best part of creating visual art is the uncertainty of the process. Although I begin with a general vision of my final piece, creative influences around my often take over and inspire me to create a piece more bold and beautiful than what I initially anticipated.
