I was inspired to do visual art at a young age because of my older cousin, who was a visual artist himself and would teach me drawing techniques. I was inspired by the ease at which he created his art and the passion that I saw he had for it, making me want to create with the same magnitude of ease and passion. As I began my own creative path, I was motivated by how many people my art impacted and the joys of seeing my own growth throughout my creative journey. Discovering my love of Hip Hop culture, fashion, and visual art, I continued to mold my personal style as a creative, exploring the marriage between culture and art.
Being a painter, I find it amazing that I get the opportunity to collaborate with so many other creatives of different backgrounds. I have collaborated with different creatives stemming from those with a musical background to vintage brands, and I find it exciting how many different opportunities there are to showcase my passion and learn about others.
My favourite part of creating hand-painted pieces is the beauty of the process. Each individual brushstroke contributes to a whole of an image, with the final piece representing hours of dedication and work. I find it beautiful that I can get lost in the creation of a painting, molding it to be a representation of a part of who I am as an artist.
