I have been so deeply impacted by artists throughout my life. I take great comfort and inspiration in the fact that my work and persistence will enable me to continue that legacy of artists before me.
I love getting to know people. Co-writing with someone or working with someone to write a piece for them enables a very vulnerable connection very quickly. In one session alone I get to spend a couple hours talking with an artist about the intimate details of their lives. It's such a gift to be given that kind of trust and makes this job extremely fulfilling.
Being brought onto projects that require me to build new practices and stretch my perception of my artistry have allowed me to grow immensely. So many artists are building new mediums and I want to be on their team.
